GreenBoost4WISEs overall aim is to make business and processes of WISEs more sustainable; and to raise awareness on benefits of greener practices through capacity building, knowledge transfer and transnational cooperation.

GreenBoost4WISEs overall aim is to make business and processes of WISEs more sustainable; and to raise awareness on benefits of greener practices through capacity building, knowledge transfer and transnational cooperation.

The specific objectives are:

- Supporting transnational and cross-sectorial cooperation and exchange of good practices to enable sustainable growth of WISEs to face the green transition;
- Upskilling and training towards staff and management of WISEs to green their operations;
- Encouraging the uptake and adoption of sustainable measures and innovative solutions;
- Fostering cooperation between WISEs and other relevant stakeholders (e.g., other social economy entities, mainstream businesses, academia and public authorities).

Numerous activities are foreseen consisting of capacity-building and awareness raising through study visits, focus groups, trainings and events. Specific activities are also tailored in order to stimulate and to develop green strategies in internal organisation processes and businesses such as coaching and mentoring activities at national and EU levels and financial support to WISEs through trainings addressing sustainability in key sectors and advisory and consultancy services in Implementation countries are: Austria, Italy, and Ireland.

The consortium is composed of WISEs networks and circular economy representative. Two specific target groups have been identified in the framework of this project. On the one hand, the main direct target groups of GreenBoost4WISEs are WISEs managers and their representatives, other types of social economy enterprises (cooperatives, foundations, networks, etc.) and public authorities. On the other hand, indirect target groups and beneficiaries are disadvantaged groups working in WISEs and mainstream businesses.

Deliverables

D2.1 - Report on the current needs, challenges and solutions for green activities

The Report on the current needs, challenges and solutions for green activities presents the outcomes online focus groups, implemented in workshop format to participants in Austria, Ireland and Italy. Two workshop sessions were organised to gather WISEs and other social economy actors, representatives of public authorities and mainstream businesses to discuss the needs and challenges of WISEs regarding the implementation of green activities within their own structure. A second workshop session focused on the identification of good practices and solutions to tackle the problems initially listed. The report is available in English, Italian and German.

D2.2 Report on the online trainings for knowledge-transfer and capacity building on green strategies

The GreenBoost4WISEs consortium organised two online trainings targeting Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs), Social Economy Enterprises (SEEs) as well as other social economy stakeholders and the consortium partners. The contents of the workshops were based on the needs, challenges and solutions identified during the Online Focus Groups held in January and February 2024. Challenges included mindset and behavioural changes, financial resources, human resources as well as organisational capacity. Opportunities focused on empowerment, skill development as well as market expansion and diversification.

Calls for WISEs - Updates

Call to Financial Support to Study Visits, Coaching & Mentoring activities for WISEs!

DEADLINE 30th June 2024

GreenBoost4WISEs just launched its call for selection of participants to study visits in Italy, Ireland, Austria and Belgium, besides coaching and mentoring activities, which will be centred on: Eco-friendly Organisations; Circular Economy; and new sector activities towards more greening and sustainability within WISEs.

This call covers financial support to third parties to join the study visits, but also to receive coaching and mentoring. All activities will take place between September 2024 and November 2024. Details on eligibility, activities and selection criteria can be found in the Applicants guideline in the Documents section below.

Call to financial support to training and advisory services for greening WISEs and SEEs

Deadline 30th of September 2024

GreenBoost4WISEs project will select up to 60 participants to obtain financial support to training sessions and advisory services to enable the adoption of greener and more sustainable practices of Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) and Social Economy Enterprises (SEEs) based in EU countries.

The call will support selected WISEs and SEEs in: 

  • Upskilling and Training services, financial support up to € 3,000
  • Green innovation and advisory services, financial support up to € 4,800

A list of possible topics that can be explored within such services and trainings is provided in the Applicants' guideline. See document on the section below.

Applicants must be legal entities (WISEs or SEEs) to submit their application. Applicants from the 1st stage Call of GreenBoost4WISEs are eligible and are encouraged to apply.

Listing process of VET and Advisory services to GreenBoost4WISEs

Early applications are highly encouraged

The aim of this listing process is the creation of a database including VET providers and Advisory Services Providers with experience in green training initiatives and/or courses and/or applications and/or experience supporting WISEs and SEEs in their green transformation process. 

The Database will be used by the WISEs and SEEs participating in the GreenBoost4WISEs project to identify the most appropriate provider(s) to support their upskilling process via financial support awarded to them by the project from October 2024. 

The Database will remain open until March 2025, training courses and/or advisory services can be carried out until the deadline of May 2025. For more details on eligibility, and the typology on training and services, please consult the Invitation document with guidelines before completing the form at:
